Tatjana Mischke

Tatjana Mischke has been working as a freelance journalist, author and editor for various television stations, such as ARD, WDR, SWR, HR, Vox, Sat1, Kabel 1 and Arte since 2007.

Tatjana Mischke studied directing and dramaturgy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch" in Berlin. In addition to her work as a TV writer, she also worked for many years as a director for numerous theaters and German-language stages, such as the National Theater in Mannheim, the Salzburg Festival and the Kammerspiele in Hamburg.

2023 1st prize ‘NRW MEDIA AWARD ECONOMY’ for the TV documentary ‘The slaughterhouse - how Tönnies is fighting for its reputation’

2022 Nomination of ‘Generation Waldbesetzer - Im Baumhaus gegen die Klimakrise (Arte/HR)’ 2022 for the Grimme Prize. ThurnFilm received the ARD Programme Award 2023 for this film. 

2021 1st prize Alternative Media Award in the ‘Future’ category for the film ‘Generation forest squatters - In the tree house against the climate crisis’

2019 Main prize Salus Media Prize for ‘How can we achieve the agricultural transformation'
